New to the American Indoor Football professional league (AIF) is the AIF Junior League for Youth program. The AIF Junior League is the first of its kind in the U.S. An indoor football youth program to be fully funded, sanctioned and run by a professional indoor football league. A program designed for AIF member teams to host their own youth football leagues. Each AIF market will host a minimum of 8 youth teams with a roster of 17-23 per team. The AIF Junior League is the only National Youth Indoor Football League that allows 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 year olds to experience firsthand the fast paced and thrilling action that makes indoor football one of the country’s fastest growing sports. AIF Staff will work hand-in-hand with area youth football coaches in each AIF Market, to adapt the professional rules to meet with the youth abilities. The result is a game that focuses heavily on having fun and developing skills in a condensed 8 on 8 indoor football format.
The AIF structured the AIF Junior League to set a new standard for youth football. In doing so, we hope to provide every participant with the premier football experience in the Country. Our brand of football is a family friendly sporting event. Our mantra is “Community Family Football”. This will give AIF teams the ability to cement ties to the local community and the platform to promote citizenship while teaching the discipline and techniques of indoor football.
The Junior League is set on the AIF model. This will provide the chance for the youth games to be held prior to AIF league games on the same field. We look to provide the youth with positive activities and to give them the unique experience of playing in the same venue and under the same rules of the professionals. We will be partnering with youth, outreach and religious organizations to reach the inner city and under privileged youth as well. We want the ability to include all youth no matter what their financial or social status. The AIF is proud to set the standard and lead the way to the future of youth indoor football.
